Powell
Andrew Powell is a Jamaican-born author, marriage mentor, and passionate advocate for stronger, healthier families. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, in 1965, Andrew immigrated to the United States in 1988, carrying with him a deep sense of purpose, resilience, and faith. His journey through love, loss, divorce, healing, and renewal has shaped his unique voice, one that speaks honestly about the realities of marriage while offering hope to couples seeking restoration.
Today, Andrew lives out the lessons he teaches. He is the proud father of two children, Andre and Abi, from his first marriage, and a loving husband to Ramona, whom he married in 2010. Together, they built a blended family with Ramona’s son, Julian, and spent years raising their three children in Pennsylvania before they each ventured into adulthood.
Beyond writing, Andrew is an electrical engineer, entrepreneur, and world traveler. He and Ramona own and operate a successful small business with nine employees, and his work has taken him across all fifty U.S. states and more than 40 countries. A licensed pilot and an aviation enthusiast, he embodies purpose-driven living and lifelong learning.
